Teresa Grøtan Launches Her New Book ‘Før Øya Synker’/‘Before The Island Goes Under’

Teresa Grøtan is coming to the Longyearbyen Literature Festival to launch her brand new book Før øya synker, which is partly set on Svalbard. Grøtan has travelled to Kiribati in the Pacific Ocean, to Bangladesh, to the U.S. and to Svalbard to meet young people and find out what they make of climate change. She has also interviewed some of the world’s leading experts on climate-related issues. Teresa Grøtan has been invited to the Longyearbyen Literature Festival in collaboration with the Norwegian branch of PEN and Artica Svalbard.

Teresa Grøtan (born 17 June 1974) comes from Stokmarknes, but she now lives in Bergen. She is a journalist and author, as well as the Director of the Bergen International Literary Festival. She has published several books. In 2013 she received the Blix Prize for her books for children and young adults.
