Charlotte Hetherington - Director
Charlotte Hetherington joined Artica Svalbard as director in November 2020. Prior to this she worked as Artist Liaison at Thomas Dane Gallery in London, UK. After graduating from Newcastle University in 2007 with a MA in Museum & Gallery studies, Charlotte joined Spike Island in Bristol before moving onto a role in Exhibitions at White Cube, London. Charlotte brings over fourteen years experience working with international artists and institutions.

Lisa Bakk Bøen - Residency and Studio Coordinator
Lisa Bakk Bøen joined the team in January 2022 as Residency and Studio Coordinator. Having studied Literature Science at University of Oslo and Library and Information Science at Oslo Metropolitan University College, Lisa started working at Oslo Public Library Deichman in 2013. This position offered the opportunity to experience different roles at Deichman throughout the years: librarian, producer, booking manager, communications, and in recent years managing director for Furuset bibliotek og aktivitetshus and project manager for a large youth festival. At Artica, Lisa works closely with our residents, partners and the local community.
