We are pleased to invite you to a special creative writing workshop with writer Clara Arnaud, held inside the exhibition space of the Svalbard Museum.

Objects and images carry stories from the past — sometimes they reflect our own stories, sometimes they spark entirely new ones. In this workshop, participants will be invited to bring the seemingly inanimate artefact to life through writing.

The evening begins with a short guided tour by the museum’s researcher in historical archaeology, who will highlight notable objects in the collection. Using these artefacts as inspiration, Clara will lead a series of prompts, exercises, and conversations designed to help participants unlock their creativity and explore the stories objects might hold.

Together we will spend time writing, sharing, and reimagining the narratives that connect us to Svalbard’s history and environment.

Who can join?
Open to anyone over the age of 12. The workshop will be conducted in English, but participants are free to write in any language. Please bring a laptop or your favourite writing materials (paper and pens will also be available).

When: Monday 20 October, 18:00 – 20:30 at Svalbard Museum
