About
Simon Daniel Tegnander Wenzel works with performance, scent, moving image, sound, and installation. His practice engages natural materials and their cultural significance, reconstructing narratives around labour, care, and embodied knowledge. By combining playfulness with critical reflection, he outlines strategies for resistance and re-skilling that challenge normative structures.

During his residency in Svalbard, Wenzel is expanding his ongoing research into the connections between scent, landscape, and memory. He is mapping local botany and geology, investigating environments impacted by human activity and climate change, and collaborating with both researchers and residents to weave new sensorial narratives of place.
