By deliberately slowing down and engaging our senses, we can reconnect with energy, presence, and meaning. In this workshop, we will explore ways of being in nature that are grounding and creative.
Drawing on her experience as both a psychiatrist and an Arctic nature guide, Olga Tingstedt will lead a gentle practice that invites participants to connect with nature, with themselves, and with one another.
We will begin by settling into a mode of just being, shifting our attention between sensory details in the surrounding landscape. This may include quietly dwelling by the sea and finding rocks or shapes of ice that speak to us. As we turn our attention inward, memories and associations from our own lives may surface. By reconnecting with what matters and what we care about, we can cultivate a richer sense of meaning and direction.
We will gather by the fireside to share experiences—either in pairs or as a group—focusing on listening with a quiet presence and appreciating what is shared together.
