ARTICA WRITINGS 2026:10th Anniversary Anthology

In 2026, Artica Svalbard marks its 10th anniversary. Founded on the belief that art and culture can open new ways of seeing, challenge perspectives and create space for dialogue, Artica works within an Arctic region undergoing political, environmental and social change.

This anniversary edition returns to the ethos of Artica Writings as a platform for diverse, independent voices. Bringing new contributions together with selected works from the back catalogue, it reflects a decade shaped by residencies, encounters and collaborations.

The publication gathers essays, poems, letters, artworks and a recorded conversation. Its contributors approach questions of place, community, artistic practice and how knowledge is made from different perspectives. Several works appear in their writers’ own languages—French, Korean, Tenyidie, Norwegian, Spanish and Swedish—reflecting the linguistic breadth of Artica’s community.
