OCA-Nominated 2026 Artica Svalbard Residency Deadline Closed – Record Number of Applications Received

The application deadline for the 2026 Artica Svalbard residencies, nominated by the Office for Contemporary Art Norway (OCA), is now closed. We are pleased to share that this year one again brought in a record number of applications. Thank you to everyone who applied for your interest and time.

The selection process is now underway, and successful applicants will be contacted before the end of June. Due to the high volume of submissions, we regret that we are unable to respond individually to unsuccessful applicants.

If your application is not successful but you are able to secure your own funding, we would still love to hear from you. Artica Svalbard accepts applications for independently-funded residencies throughout the year. For more details, please visit Independently-Funded Residencies.
