We are delighted to invite you to a photography exhibition Teenagers without Land, a collaborative project by social anthropologist, Zdenka Sokolíčková (Dept. Of Social Anthropology University of Oslo) and photographer Dagmara Wojtanowicz.

Joining us this month is the Bergen based writer Vibeke Koehler. Her debut novel Tankespinneren (The Mindspinner) was published in April 2021 and was chosen to be promoted for publishing abroad by NORLA even before it was released.

Beate Heide our final resident of 2021 will soon be arriving in Longyearbyen. Beate is a Norwegian writer and storyteller working in fiction and non-fiction.

Introducing Artica’s next resident Jessica MacMillan
. Joining us in November, Jessica is an artist and amateur astronomer based in Oslo, Norway.

NAARCA, co-devised and co-led by Cove Park and Saari Residence (Finland), aims to build a long-term bridge between Scotland and the Nordic countries around the most pressing global issue of our time.

Residents Recommend this month comes from Elida Høeg. Høeg has been in residence since early September, nominated by our key partner Norsk Pen.

Although Ramona Salo Myrseth, one of our OCA nominated residents has finished her stay with us, we wanted to share her Residents Recommend as an extra edition this month.
