Artist talk and soup with Cathrine Alice Liberg and Ellen Viste

If you are interested in learning what Artica’s current residents are up to, come along to our artists talk and soup event on Thursday 11 April at 18:00 at Artica’s workshop.

Ellen Viste has a background in meteorology and climate research, and works as a communications advisor at the Bjerknes Center for Climate Research in Bergen. She has a PhD in tropical metrology and has worked extensively with popular science writing on weather and climate. Whilst in Svalbard, Ellen is researching for her new book project, an exploration of the topic of temperature and how humans have adapted to life outside the tropics.

Ellen Viste was nominated by Norsk faglitterær forfatter- og oversetterforening.

Cathrine Alice Liberg is an artist and printmaker. Cathrine works with various printmaking techniques such as lithography, photogravure, cyanotype, etching, and mezzotint. She often draws inspiration from her mixed European and Asian upbringing.

Cathrine Alice Liberg was nominated by Queen Sonja Print Awards.

The event is is free to attend, no booking required. Teas, coffees and a vegetarian soup will be served.
