Join us for the launch of Artica Writings 2024: Svalbard’s International Community, the latest edition in Artica Svalbard’s essay series.

This limited-edition publication explores the personal stories of international residents living in Svalbard and reflects on questions of belonging, identity, and life within one of the Arctic’s most internationally diverse communities. Developed by journalist Elida Høeg with photography by Ángel Valiente, the essays examine experiences of migration, adaptation, and changing governance in Svalbard at a moment of significant political and social transition.

The evening will be an informal gathering with coffee and waffles, offering an opportunity to browse the publication, meet others, and celebrate the release together.

Copies of the book will be available to purchase for 100 NOK.
