Jess Mountfield is an animation director and illustrator specialising in documentary, visual anthropology and collaborative practice. She has worked with the BBC, MTV, Adult Swim, charities and scientists across a wide range of formats, including films, idents, published children’s books, museum exhibits, installations, apps and illustrated reports.

Kristin Wichstrøm is a Norwegian artist and lighting designer working across installation, light, sound and computational image-making, with a particular interest in collaborative practice, technology and posthumanism. Chris Fohringer is a wildlife biologist and MSCA postdoctoral fellow at Aarhus University whose research focuses on how Arctic herbivores adapt to extreme and rapidly changing environments, alongside a creative practice exploring sound, performance and multispecies relations.

Alexandra Meyer, Lilli Wickström and Oriane Laromiguière are a interdisciplinary trio bringing together social anthropology, architecture and journalism through their collaborative project Tales from the Landscape.

In residence: January 2027

Helen Tatlow and Lizzie Wood are a creative duo based in the Cairngorms, Scotland, whose collaborative practice brings together visual art, writing, environmental research and community engagement. They met in 2023 while co-facilitating a hillwalking group for migrant women resettled in the Scottish Highlands, using time outdoors to build relationships, confidence and connections with the surrounding landscape.

Line Prip is a Norwegian artist whose site-sensitive practice explores how humans and other species adapt to their environments. Through fieldwork and immersive residencies, she examines connections between geological and ecological processes and human experience, asking how environments shape behaviour, survival strategies and our capacity for change.
